“Porn” derives from the Greek porne, “prostitute, someone who sells sex.” Obviously, porn today goes far beyond the sad, seedy business of prostitution. It is less and less about selling sex, or images of sexual acts, and more and more about sexuality as such. Porn is inescapable, and even invades the inner lives of those who detest and ignore it. As long as sexual desire remains under taboo, porn will ascend. At the end of Kali Yuga, it will inundate the planet — so the Tantras predict. With Porn, I investigate why we do not know what we desire, especially in sex, and how this wicked ignorance enslaves us.
